Facebook gives users two options1 for viewing their Activity Stream, Top News & Most Recent. Most recent has an obvious definition (duh) but what determines your “Top News”?

Setting Facebook Usernames (Tutorial)

This was created with a trial version of ScreenSteps and uploaded directly to my (WordPress) blog. If you like the way this looks, give it a try yourself, I highly recommend it.

I’ve been noticing a lot of companies who have Facebook pages tell people to go find them on Facebook by searching for Company Name. Not very intuitive, and doesn’t work well on things like business cards, twitter bios, or email signatures.

Facebook lets both pages and individuals set usernames. For example, mine is http://facebook.com/djbressler and the fan page for my charity is http://facebook.com/wyheart. These usernames also become your email address for the new Facebook messaging system currently being rolled out. (Though, no word yet on pagenames having their own email, but you can hope/wonder.)
